Offense

Max Williams is the only batter who hit over. 300 with 10+ home runs to return from last year's lineup.

Lodise and Faurot return and batted in the .280's, and had 15 home runs combined a year ago. Jaxson West came on strong late last year and returns behind the plate.

We could see an uptick in power and production from all of these guys, but I'm curious how teams will pitch Williams knowing there is no James Tibbs, Cam Smith, or Jaime Ferrer in the lineup.

He's a free-swinger, but can he exhibit patience and not press? Will transfer Gage Harrelson be a factor if he's in the leadoff spot?

The speedster can cause havoc if he gets on base and he had a .411 on-base percentage in limited action last season at Texas Tech. Transfer Chase Williams is another guy who could contribute with excellent speed.

Do you notice a trend here? FSU will probably have to rely more on speed and balls in the gap instead of raw power like last year. Some guys have flashed more power than last year in the offseason.

How will freshman Myles Bailey adjust to college ball? He has elite power, but it often takes time for young guys to adjust, especially if they get behind in the count.

The biggest question marks are on offense, which is why the pitching has to be on point.
