Pitching
The strength of the 2025 teams should be the overall talent and depth of the pitching staff, especially early in the season. What Jamie Arnold brings to the mound is unmeasurable. He's someone who can nullify great offenses and eat up innings to save the bullpen.
As Link Jarrett said recently, Volini and Mendes opening the season as starters doesn't mean it'll stay that way. It would be great if FSU has that all year, but they'll need one of the two to find consistency to help FSU win weekend series in the ACC.
The bullpen struggled mightily last year, but FSU coaches did a good job of carving out roles for guys who started showing consistency. Brennan Oxford, Andrew Armstrong, Joe Charles, and Connor Hults come to mind.
Charles and Hults return, but what other guys will help fill those middle-reliever and high-leverage roles? What guys could step into the rotation if needed, like Dorsey did from the bullpen last season?
It's a long season, and there will be ebbs and flows, but FSU's pitching success will be paramount to how far they can go in 2025.
