Fan Apathy

The feeling amongst the FSU football fanbase has turned to apathy. It’s so toxic it’s not even funny. There is nothing Mike Norvell can sell to the FSU fanbase that would conjure a remote hint of enthusiasm.

The “Keep Climbing” mantra is a running joke nowadays. FSU fans have been tired of climbing and the mountain feels never-ending in Mike Norvell's tenure.

We expect a massive attendance decline for the final home game of the season when the Noles host Virginia Tech on Saturday night. The home game attendance has declined as the season progressed, and the Wake Forest game only had the attendance it did because it was a night game and it was Homecoming.

How can folks expect fans to spend their money on a trash product for the third consecutive year? The toxicity will brew all offseason, and the whining and complaining about the season and poor recruiting will translate into nobody showing up to support the team. That will affect local Tallahassee businesses that depend heavily on the FSU football team to make a living.

A new coach would at least give some semblance of hope, even if the team isn’t good next year, because it’s the hope of what he’s building towards. Mike Norvell can’t offer that in year seven.
