Folks troll SEC and Alabama fans after Oklahoma lost to Navy in Armed Forces Bowl

Now they counting opt outs

FSU football fans have heard it all year from folks who said it didn't matter that nearly all of FSU's best players opted out of the Orange Bowl against Georgia after getting snubbed from the College Football Playoff last year.

It was a chance for FSU to prove they belonged, they said. However, those same SEC fans blame Oklahoma for losing on not having all of its players against Navy in the Armed Forces Bowl.

Ironically, the loss dropped Oklahoma to 6-7 to end the season, but SEC fans and pundits wanted everyone to overlook Alabama getting smoked 24-3 against this same mediocre Oklahoma team late in the season.

It's further proof that it's all a big sham for the SEC's propaganda. Navy was 9-3 going into the bowl game and Oklahoma was 6-6. The point spread was basically a pick'em, but all you heard was the commentators mentioning Oklahoma as an "SEC" team. It's like now that they are in the SEC, they have some mythical powers.

When FSU beat Oklahoma in the Cheez-It Bowl a couple of years ago when they were in the B12, there was no such commentary.

When Alabama plays Michigan in the Realiaquest Bowl next week, we'll continue to hear how Alabama should have gotten into the 12-team playoffs. None of the commentators will mention the Oklahoma loss, or how Oklahoma lost against Navy in its bowl game. If they lose the game, we'll hear all about how many players opted out or how they may not be motivated to win the game. That's the SEC way when they lose bowl games anyway. It's time to stop this biased nonsense and for the media to stop propping the SEC above all others.
