CAN FSU MATCH UP WELL WITH UNC?
Outside of Gakdeng, the Tar Heels still have weapons. Alyssa Utsby is the upperclassman of the team who will use her veteran presence to set the tone for her team. North Carolina also features quality role players like Reniya Kelly, Lexi Donarski, and others.
The guard play of Kelly and Donarski could provide a spark for North Carolina. It will be an ultimate challenge on defense for Latson, O’Mariah Gordon, and others.
Today’s matchup will be between the well-rested and the most challenged. Florida State has enjoyed their extra days of rest as they last touched the floor Sunday. As for North Carolina, their coming off of a battle with Boston College in the second round where they had to come from behind.
The Noles winning through adversity could be an advantage that they have against Florida State. They’ll have to find a way to overcome everything the Noles throw at them and find a way to finish on top.
As for Florida State, they’ll have to continue to show why they’re one of the top four teams in the ACC. Their fast play is a style that the defense cannot contain. Playing together is important during March. While players deliver big moments, the best team is always the last one standing.
