The biggest Florida State news in the past few days was that FSU settled its lawsuit with the ACC. FSU fans have had a blast making the fanbases of other ACC teams eat crow on social media, and we talked about the benefits of FSU settling here.
Leonard Hamilton is stuck on 199 ACC wins and got denied No. 200 with FSU's loss against Virginia on Tuesday night. The game was tied with under two minutes to go, but FSU found a way to lose the game on the road as they often do. Leonard Hamilton will have one final chance to reach ACC win No. 200 when the Noles host SMU this weekend.

Freshman Myles Bailey and BJ Gibson had two hits, and Bailey had two home runs. Gibson had two stolen bases and might have a decision to make soon. FSU will host Bethune-Cookman on Wednesday at 5 p.m. before playing Lipscomb in a three-game series this weekend. The Noles check in at No. 5 nationally according to most national polls.

FSU softball (16-3) moves up a couple spots after going undefeated last week. The Noles will play Jacksonville University and North Florida in a doubleheader Wednesday afternoon before heading to the west coast to play over the weekend and into next week. It'll be a homecoming for Makenna Reid who's from Oregon.
The FSU men's basketball program coaching search continues and we touched on that here.
