Florida is desperately trying to get this prospect back before FSU takes them

This is a need for the Seminoles in their recruiting class.
Albert didn’t have much to cheer about this football season but beating Florida State certainly fired him up.

Florida State fans have been hesitant throughout the years of high school football recruiting under the leadership of head coach Mike Norvell. While the blame shouldn't be placed solely on Norvell, high school recruiting isn't as high a priority as it is with arch-rival Miami Hurricanes.

While it is known that the Florida State faithful don't like the Hurricanes and want to beat them every year, it should be respected for what head football coach Mario Cristobal and that program are doing because they recruit at a high level.

It hasn't resulted in national championships for his program yet, but they did compete against Indiana in the College Football Playoff Final and barely lost. With that said, the clock is ticking for Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles to get it together.

Florida State is heavily involved with four-star wide receiver prospect Tramond Collins

This isn't all of the assistant coaches have not held up to their bargain on Florida State's staff because wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. (and now offensive coordinator/wide receivers coach) did a phenomenal job on the trail in the 2026 cycle.

He secured six wide receiver prospects in four-star Jasen Lopez, four-star Brandon Bennett, four-star Devin Carter, four-star EJ White, three-star Jonah Winston, and three-star Darryon Williams. This is a foundation that the Seminoles can build on for the future.

However, the job is never finished in high school recruiting. Coach Harris Jr. has to continue his success on acquire recruits at the position. Florida State does not have a wide receiver prospect in its 2027 class, but that could change in an instant.

Four-star Jabari Watkins from Thomasville, Georgia, is someone that the Seminole faithful is monitoring, but there is another pass catcher that should catch their eyes. That would be four-star Tramond Collins from Cottondale, Florida.

The talented playmaker can do it all, as he recorded 600 rushing yards and 613 receiving yards with 14 total touchdowns during his junior season (according to MaxPreps). This is someone that the Florida Gators should want to get back in their class with head coach Jon Sumrall in place now.

Collins de-committed from the Florida Gators in December, then attended Florida State's Junior Day in January. The Georgia Bulldogs are starting to get involved with a recent offer. Another team (other than Florida) is Auburn. All of them have scheduled official visits, but the Seminoles will get the last crack at securing services on June 12th.
