CB CHARLES LESTER III

Florida State anticipated that they were going to have a productive defensive unit filled with talented members of the secondary such as Azareye'h Thomas, Fentrell Cypress II, Earl Little Jr., Shyheim Brown, and Conrad Hussey.

However, the two notable standouts so far (if you even call them standouts) have been Kevin Knowles and Quindarrius Jones. Defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has been one of the better assistant coaches on the Seminoles' staff with his recruiting ability and development.

With that being said, much like with the offense, something probably has to be changed with the rotations on defense. Sometimes, a youth movement could be just what Florida State needs to be productive.

One player that I am monitoring is cornerback Charles Lester III. He was a former borderline five-star prospect that the Seminoles were able to land over schools such as Colorado (no Deion Sanders flip there...). I thought that Lester III would have been one of the true freshman that got reps this season.

I hope this is finally the moment that Lester III needs to be a part of the rotation even in limited reps.
