DT DARRELL JACKSON JR.

I know that the defensive line did not have the season that it wanted last season. It even had legendary head football coach Nick Saban looking like a fool as he named the Seminoles having the best defensive line in the country last offseason.

I was part of that committee. I thought that Florida State could be very productive with having Patrick Payton, Marvin Jones Jr., Sione Lolohea, Darrell Jackson Jr., and Joshua Farmer. However, that idea sizzled out just like the Seminoles' 2024 season.

Jackson Jr. made headlines this offseason when he announced that he would return to Tallahassee for another year. I was a bit surprised since I thought that he wanted to get paid early in the league.

However, I realize that he didn't have the best season that he could've had. Coach White called Jackson Jr. "the best defensive tackle in the country", so the hype is real surrounding the Havana, Florida native.
