DC Tony White can have a similar emergence at FSU, just like former DC Mark Stoops

We need the killer mentality on FSU's defense for the 2025 season.

EMPHASIS ON FORCING TURNOVERS

Florida State's defense did not force many turnovers last year, as it only recorded four interceptions. The Seminoles could not generate any momentum for their offense. Granted, the offense probably needed a miracle every time that it had the football.

However, in football, the offense can feed off a defense to gain confidence in itself. Florida State had defensive backs such as Azareye'h Thomas, Fentrell Cypress II, and Kevin Knowles II (who are all in the NFL) and still couldn't get many interceptions.

That isn't a shot at those players, it takes a bit of luck at times to generate turnovers. One batted ball can go your way, or it can fall harmlessly to the ground. That is the difference between a turnover and the offense getting another opportunity.

The Nebraska defense had eleven interceptions during the 2024 season, which was almost three times as many as Florida State had all last year. To make it even better, the Nebraska defense had 41 pass deflections, which meant that they were very active with their hands.
