Everyone knows that former Florida State defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. is a mountain of a man. It’s one thing to know and see it, but when you hear the actual measurements, it’s crazy.

The 2026 NFL Combine gets underway this week, and all of the players are getting their measurements done before they move to the performative areas of the event later this week.

Jackson measured in on Thursday, and the results looked like a superhero:

Darrell Jackson has the potential to play in the NFL for a long time if he can stay healthy

Those are crazy numbers, as you can see what the percentile was from his measurements at the Shrine Bowl last month. As you can see, the differences in those numbers are miniscule, meaning nothing was fudged to make it seem like he was bigger than his actual size.

The thing that sticks out the most is the drop in weight. Jackson has trimmed off about 15 pounds since the Shrine Bowl, likely looking to improve on his 10-second split, overall 40-time, and 20-yard shuttle.

The knock on Jackson has been his lack of speed and explosion after his nice first step. That extra weight might have slowed him a tad in his pass rushing abilities. However, he's excellent against the run, so it's possible that loss in weight could be detrimental to anchoring in the middle. We'll see if that work pays off when he performs this weekend. Jackson projects as a top 100 pick somewhere in the third round. A strong NFL Combine could push him into the top 70 spots, a difference of about one million dollars overall.
