CB JALEN RAMSEY

Florida State football has been known to have several elite defensive backs throughout its history, such as Deion Sanders, Terrell Buckley, LeRoy Butler, Antonio Cromartie, Jalen Ramsey, Derwin James, and many more. The list could go on for days.

That goes to show you how deep the position group has been throughout the years. Even during the Mike Norvell era, they have had defensive backs drafted such as Azareye'h Thomas, Renardo Green, Jarrian Jones, Asante Samuel Jr., Jammie Robinson, and Hamsah Nasirildeen.

The Seminoles are always loaded with talent because the regions surrounded around Tallahassee always produces good defensive backs. With that said, five-star prospect Jalen Ramsey was a bit out of the immediate area where his hometown was in Brentwood, Tennessee.

Ramsey had been committed to USC, but Jimbo Fisher yet again snagged him away from the Trojans and flipped him to the good guys. The defensive back is still a productive piece on defense for the Pittsburgh Steelers, even though he had to move to safety.

During his three-year career with Florida State, he recorded 180 tackles (15.5 for loss), five sacks, three interceptions, three forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries.
