FOUR-STAR CB JAY TIMMONS

Like I said in the previous slide, defensive back recruiting for the Seminoles is in good hands. Florida State has already received commitments from four-star Darryl Bell III, four-star Tedarius Hughes, and three-star Sean Johnson for the 2026 recruiting class.

Did you think that Florida State would be done with just obtaining five-star Chauncey Kennon? Well, you thought wrong because the Seminoles are looking to make a splash in the secondary and have coaches Patrick Surtain Sr. and Evan Cooper rolling in talent for years to come.

One other member of the secondary to focus on is four-star cornerback Jay Timmons from Gibsonia, Pennsylvania. This is a legacy recruit that the program cannot afford to miss.

His father (Lawrence) played linebacker with the Seminoles. Not to mention, the defensive back was very productive during his junior season of high school, where he recorded four interceptions. The ball-hawking defensive back would be a great fit for Florida State.

Timmons told the media after his official visit that he would be making his final decision in the next week or so.
