FIVE-STAR LB XAVIER GRIFFIN

Florida State already has two linebacker prospects in its class with four-star Karon Maycock and three-star Caleb LaVallee. The program used to have concerns about the position group, but position coach John Papuchis has resurrected the recruiting board.

I will say that the Seminoles could see Maycock choose Alabama since he is making his final decision on July 7th between Florida State, Alabama, and Florida. While I understand the frustration of having the announcement, even though he is pledged, high school recruiting can be unpredictable.

One prospect that needs to be at the top of their wants in the class is five-star linebacker Xavier Griffin from Gainesville, Georgia. Griffin officially visited the campus this past weekend, and the talented defender ensured that the Seminoles would be getting the final trip before making his decision soon.

While I am not suggesting that he will select Florida State since he has an Alabama crystal ball prediction, I hope that the coaching staff will put all of their poker chips in for Griffin.
