IOL CHAVEZ THOMPSON

Let me go ahead and say that I love recruits having cool nicknames, and former three-star offensive lineman Chavez Thompson from Cocoa, Florida, has the nickname "Sandman".

Thompson was a high school teammate with former four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs, who was an early enrollee, at Cocoa High School. Boggs should be an immediate contributor for the Seminoles if he puts his mind to it.

I hope that Thompson and Boggs can eventually be on the field at the same time. The offensive lineman can play the center position at 6'1" and 310 pounds. We already saw how important that was as Seminole fans throughout the years with veteran Maurice Smith.

Florida State added former Wake Forest center transfer Luke Petitbon this offseason, and he should be the starter for 2025. However, Thompson will have an opportunity to compete in the coming years to make a name for himself.
