CB GREGORY THOMAS

Florida State made history by bringing in former four-star cornerback Gregory "Zae" Thomas, as he will become the first scholarship player on the Seminoles' roster who is part of the Seminole Tribe.

Thomas played high school football at American Heritage High School and was coached by defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr., so it was a match made in Heaven. Thomas was being heavily pursued by the Clemson Tigers. However, Coach Norvell showed Swinney that he's got that "Drip" and he doesn't need TikTok to show it *insert the cringey TikTok video of Dabo*.

In all seriousness, the cornerback position looks to be in good hands with loads of young talent. I know the fan base wants to complain about recruiting, but defensive back should not be one of them. The coaching staff added Houston cornerback transfer Jeremiah Wilson this offseason.

With the pickup of Wilson, he should be a starter in 2025. I didn't envision Thomas playing much in 2025, but I think this could be a pivotal year for him to grow and figure out how they want to use his 6'2" frame for the future.
