FSU football lacked proven offensive playmakers in 2024 to score points, and one of the major focuses of the coaching staff was adding those playmakers for 2025.

FSU landed former five-star WR Duce Robinson last month and added a major compliment on Sunday evening when former Tennessee wide receiver Squirrel White announced his commitment to the Noles:

White is a proven player who has battled some injuries in the past. However, when healthy, he can take the top off of a defense. White ran a 10.68 one-hundred-meter dash out of high school and has had at least 30 receptions every year in college.

His best year was 2023 when he tallied 67 receptions for 803 yards and two touchdowns. He'll be a great guy in the slot or someone they can move around to create mismatches.

FSU was the only school he visited after entering the portal. He mentioned he planned to visit North Carolina and Oregon after concluding his FSU visit on Saturday but canceled those plans.

I wrote how FSU was looking to take at least one more wide receiver between the guys they had on campus this weekend. It'll be interesting if they decide to take another guy.

If not, they have two proven receivers and Randy Pittman at tight end who knows Gus Malzahn's offense well.

FSU bringing in these experienced guys with production will give the young receivers signed in the 2024 class to continue developing so they can become contributors without too much pressure this season.
