The headline of this article might be a bit harsh since it is only the sixth game of what is a long 2026 season ahead. However, the Seminoles knew that they could have a test as they travel to play in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series in Arlington, Texas.

During the weekend series, they played the likes of Michigan, Auburn, and Nebraska. When the Seminoles played the Wolverines and defeated them by a score of 6-1, fans thought that it could be business as usual for a squad that could be in play for a deep postseason run.

Then Florida State opened up to a four-run first inning against the Auburn Tigers, where they only managed to muster together one run the rest of the game in an 8-5 loss. The Seminoles' offense is filled with talent such as Myles Bailey, Noah Sheffield, Gabe Fraser, Brody DeLamielleure, and others.

Florida State's offense lets them down again in a blowout loss to Nebraska

Many individuals thought that the Nebraska game could be the opportunity for the Seminoles to get right again. However, the Cornhuskers opened the game with three runs in the first inning, and the pressure was already on the offense to deliver.

Unfortunately, the offense could never find a rhythm as they were only able to get one run on two hits the entire game. This means that the Seminoles have only recorded two runs in 17 innings, which is incredibly embarrassing.

Noles247's Brett Nevitt presented an eye-opening about the Florida State baseball team's offense as of late.

This is not the standard of Link Jarrett's squad. It could be a concerning trend for a team that is expected to compete for the College World Series this year. However, Florida State has a chance to redeem itself on Wednesday, February 25th, as the North Florida Ospreys travel to Dick Howser Stadium at 5:00 PM EST on ACC Network Extra.
