DT DARRELL JACKSON JR.

Florida State wanted to highlight its veterans on Senior Night. This is a situation where redshirt senior defensive tackle Darrell Jackson Jr. deserves their flowers for his performances all year after taking on double and even triple teams.

Jackson Jr. won't have the statistics that jump off the page to you, but he does his job effectively. It is a shame that the NCAA elected to not give him a waiver, coming close to Tallahassee to care for his ailing family member

The Florida native still has had a productive two-year career with the Seminoles, and has been a force on the defensive line. Whenever Joshua Farmer decided to head to the NFL, it was time for Darrell Jackson Jr. to shine, and he has done just that.

Head football coach Mike Norvell spoke to the team in the post-game and called up the defensive tackle to break the rock in the locker room after the victory. This was a player that surely deserved it for the season that he has had.
