QB THOMAS CASTELLANOS

Florida State had to have a good game from quarterback Thomas Castellanos to give them a chance to be successful. To be honest, Castellanos's ball placement wasn't great, as he only completed 12 of his 24 passes for 189 yards and one touchdown through the air.

He can be thankful for the fact that he had the opportunity to throw it up to 6'6" Duce Robinson on the outside, who recorded six receptions for 134 yards. This is a luxury to have where Castellanos can throw it anywhere in the area.

The former UCF and Boston College signal-caller has limitations as a passer, and this isn't a piece showcasing what he did with throwing the football. Castellanos made the Virginia Tech defense uncomfortable with his ability to scramble.

He got injured against Kent State in the third game of the year, and Castellanos hasn't been himself. It was encouraging that he finished with seven carries for 45 yards and two touchdowns. I won't make a bold claim to say that Castellanos is 1000% healthy again, but the offense needs his legs to be used.
