CB JERRY WILSON

Defensive coordinator Tony White mentioned on Tuesday afternoon that defensive back Ja'Bril Rawls played the best game that he has seen from him. Rawls is a former three-star prospect from Pensacola, Florida, whom Coach White called an NFL prospect.

With that said, Earl Little Jr. and Ja'Bril Rawls seem to be living up to expectations (even though Little Jr. didn't have his best showing against Virginia). Some fans are giving former Houston cornerback transfer Jerry Wilson a difficult time.

Wilson has seven tackles and two interceptions this season. He would have had a third one if he had broken on the football sooner. Instead, the potential pick-six was deflected off his hands and turned into a big Virginia gain by the wide receiver. This ruined the opportunity for the Seminoles to go up by a score of 28-14 late in the second quarter.

Wilson seems to be a confident young man that is experienced in Coach White's defense while he was at Syracuse. The Seminoles trust the cornerback to be on an island by himself in man coverage. Overall, this feels like a moment where he will find his footing.
