WR SQUIRREL WHITE

When Florida State picked up wide receivers in the transfer portal, the thought process was that it would go better than what transpired last year with Malik Benson and Jalen Brown.

Benson is shining with the Oregon Ducks this season, as he has recorded 16 catches for 212 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, Brown broke his leg in the recent game against Notre Dame. Our thoughts go out to him and his loved ones as he attempts to make a quick recovery.

6'6" Duce Robinson has held up his end of the bargain with Florida State, as Virginia defensive backs were terrified all game of what could happen next. Even though Robinson was projected to be the number one wide receiver in the offense, former Tennessee pass catcher Squirrel White had the potential to be the number two.

It hasn't panned out that way for the veteran, as he has only accumulated four receptions for 52 yards. However, it should not be discredited that White had one of the more impactful catches of the season when he delivered on third down and 11 to secure a 40-yard catch to allow Florida State to tie the game at 7 in the first quarter against Alabama. White needs to get going more this season.
