RB ROYDELL WILLIAMS

Florida State football decided to hire former UCF head football coach Gus Malzahn to be its offensive coordinator. The Seminoles have a priority to run the football. The program had one of the worst rushing attacks in college football last year, with 89.9 rushing yards per game.

Florida State has dual-threat quarterback Thomas Castellanos, who should be a threat with his legs. The Seminoles added new options to the running back position, such as former Oklahoma transfer Gavin Sawchuk and former four-star prospect Ousmane Kromah.

However, I am here to talk about redshirt senior running back Roydell Williams. The veteran transferred in from the Crimson Tide last year, but didn't have much impact as he collected 26 carries for 53 yards and two touchdowns. He is a co-starter at running back on the projected depth chart.

He got injured early in the year, so Williams was able to redshirt and return to Tallahassee for his senior season. He will be just in time for a revenge game against his former team, Alabama. I hope Coach Malzahn can rely on the veteran like he did with RJ Harvey at UCF.
