QB THOMAS CASTELLANOS

Quarterback transfer Thomas Castellanos made headlines for the offseason as he mentioned in his interview with On3's Pete Nakos that legendary coach Nick Saban can't save the Crimson Tide from Castellanos leading Florida State to victory.

I know that some of the fan base did not want a target on the Seminoles' back. However, I don't mind the confidence from Castellanos. I know that the comment about him running the ACC is a bit far-fetched, but I realize that head football coach Mike Norvell might have gray hairs from the signal-caller after the 2023 and 2024 meetings versus Florida State.

Castellanos will have to use his legs to beat the Crimson Tide. Alabama has a weakness defending the scrambling quarterbacks. If you don't believe me, look at the tape of the Crimson Tide trying to defend current Auburn quarterback Jackson Arnold when he was at Oklahoma, when he posed no threat to pass the football.

I am not saying that Castellanos cannot throw the football because he can, but the former UCF and Boston College transfer can take advantage of this defense.
