BEAT FLORIDA AND MIAMI

I realize that Florida State football has to play the Alabama Crimson Tide at the beginning of the year in the newly-renovated Doak Campbell Stadium. However, the Seminoles could be breaking in a ton of new weapons that could take some time to get going.

I am not suggesting that Florida State does not want to beat Alabama by any means and get revenge on being left out of the 2023 College Football Playoffs. Plus, the fact that the Crimson Tide tried to hire head football coach Mike Norvell away from Tallahassee this past offseason.

However, we all know that it would be more important to beat the arch-rivals Miami and Florida. The Seminoles lost to both teams last year by multiple possessions. This is a statement year to beat both programs as Florida will have to endure another tough schedule under head football coach Billy Napier and their superstar quarterback DJ Lagway, while Miami will be without quarterback Cam Ward.

Norvell mentioned previously the impact that beating your rivals has on getting the players that you want as well as it sending a message across the country. I don't mean for Florida State to sound like Ohio State, where our primary goal is to beat our rivals, but it is a pivotal part.
