LB JUSTIN CRYER (75 OVR)

Florida State football fans were excited when the Seminoles added linebacker transfers Elijah Herring, Stefon Thompson, and Caleb LaVallee. However, the current linebackers, such as Omar Graham Jr., Justin Cryer, and Blake Nichelson are too shabby either.

Defensive coordinator Tony White's unit has been physical and aggressive. One of the more glaring differences is that they always find a way to be around the football. The Crimson Tide struggled to run the football and became one-dimensional after the first drive.

One returning player who has been aggressive in coming up in run support has been junior Justin Cryer. He is second on the Seminoles team in tackles (10). Cryer was someone that the coaching staff picked up from Northwestern before he played a snap for the Wildcats.

The linebacker suffered a season-ending injury last year versus North Carolina, so it was encouraging to see him back in action. Even though Cryer is listed as a 75 overall, I think an 83 rating is about right for his recent play.
