RB GAVIN SAWCHUK (79 OVR)

Offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn wants to run the football in his offensive scheme. The Seminoles only averaged 89.9 rushing yards per game last year. However, Florida State is well on its way to being a dominant rushing team with averaging 295.5 rushing yards per game.

One of the more contributing backs in the offense has been redshirt junior Gavin Sawchuk. He was picked up from the Oklahoma Sooners this past offseason. The veteran has 14 carries for 63 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, with two receptions for 56 yards and one touchdown.

Sawchuk was someone that has not been discussed enough, since the fan base had fallen in love with true freshman Ousmane Kromah and his potential fit in the offense. However, the transfer has proven to be a consistent piece for Coach Malzahn and the offense.

Veteran Roydell Williams will be out for a period of time, so Sawchuk will be counted on for more reps. It wouldn't be shocking to see the running back elevate his overall from a 79 to an 85.
