4 young players that need to be retained on the Seminoles' roster this offseason
QB LUKE KROMENHOEK
I already know what you are going to say: "The offense isn't good and is one of the worst units in all of college football."
That is a valid point, and it is difficult to argue against. Honestly, I think that head football coach Mike Norvell will finally be a CEO-type and hire an offensive coordinator this offseason to give the playcalling keys to. He is in a situation where he almost has to.
Florida State had to rely on redshirt freshman Brock Glenn and true freshman Luke Kromenhoek after veteran transfer DJ Uiagalelei suffered a potentially season-ending injury versus SMU. The main purpose for bringing in Uiagalelei was to bridge the gap between Glenn and Kromenhoek.
The young options now have to play with the injury. It is safe to say that the product on the field from both signal-callers has been rough. Some individuals even want the coaching staff to bring in preferred walk-on Trever Jackson. Fans don't want to admit it and call a spade a spade, but it doesn't matter what quarterback you put out there, it likely won't go well.
Overall, I think true freshman Luke Kromenhoek is the best option on the roster at this time. He has shown a willingness to stand in the pocket and deliver nicely placed throws (if the offensive line blocks and the wide receivers catch). The Seminoles cannot afford to let Kromenhoek (or even Glenn, for that matter) enter the transfer portal this offseason.
