SQUIRREL WHITE IS THE LEADING WR IF HEALTHY
Florida State football did not have a successful portal haul last offseason where they landed Alabama's Malik Benson and LSU's Jalen Brown. Benson is now at Oregon, while Brown is still on the roster for the Seminoles in 2025. This isn't to say that the LSU product is a bad player, but some players might take longer to develop than others.
The coaching staff tried something different this year, where they went with more proven experience. Florida State added USC's Duce Robinson and Tennessee's Squirrel White. Much of the fan base wants to talk about Robinson.
This is for good reason since his father (Dominic) played with the Seminoles in the early 2000s. But there seems to be an underrated discussion about Squirrel White. The shifty slot pass catcher came in from the Volunteers. During his three years at Tennessee, he had 131 receptions for 1,665 yards and six touchdowns.
His biggest hurdle is injuries, but if White stays healthy, he can get back to his 2023 form where he recorded 67 catches for 803 yards and two touchdowns. Maybe, this is bold but I think White has a very good chance of being the top receiver for the Seminoles in 2025.
