CONTINUED BELIEF IN THE RUSHING ATTACK
Florida State had success against East Texas A&M, as it recorded 361 rushing yards. This is a night-and-day difference from 2024. The program averaged just 89.9 rushing yards per game. This was something that the Seminole faithful wanted to change immediately.
Fans thought that the running game would be the strength of the team last year, but it became apparent that the offense would be a train wreck.
The two running backs that fans wanted to see if the offense would feature were redshirt junior Gavin Sawchuk and true freshman Ousmane Kromah, as the pair combined for three total touchdowns against the Lions last Saturday.
Florida State added offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn to guide the unit, and that is exactly what Coach Malzahn has done. A different skill set is abundant in the position group that the Seminoles could exploit, but they remain committed to utilizing Gavin Sawchuk, Ousmane Kromah, and Roydell Williams (when he comes back via injury).
