Florida State basketball ranks 293rd in college basketball in three-point percentage (31.86%). That is something that needs to change immediately.

With Coach Loucks previously coaching with the Golden State Warriors, he knows more than anyone that today's landscape of college basketball revolves around the three-point shot. Maybe this is something that Steph Curry and Klay Thompson changed the narrative of basketball.

Nonetheless, Florida State needs to improve in the category quickly. This will likely result in the program locating JUCO products or underrated transfers that can shoot effectively.

If the Seminoles can be a threat from deep, then it could open up the lane for easier opportunities. Florida State will more than likely have limited resources as the football program takes a front seat to gain a high level of resources.

The new coaching staff will have to be smart in acquiring the needed prospects that excel in perimeter shooting. Loucks understands the landscape of what Florida State is at this moment in time.
