POTENTIAL OF GETTING OUT OF THE ACC
Due to Florida law, Florida State made their concerns known publically about the ACC. They sued the conference and had other fellow members follow suit.
It couldn't have been easy, as the Seminoles had their reputation on the line. Florida State has always wanted to be competitive. As I mentioned in the previous point above, the ACC teams are making significantly less than other conferences such as SEC and the Big Ten.
Something has to be done to get to a point where the revenue sharing is at least favored in Florida State's way. The Grant of Rights agreement does not end until 2036, so the price tag could be a bit steep if the Seminoles do not find a method of winning the lawsuit against the conference.
However, it seems inevitable that Florida State will eventually move conferences. The Seminoles are already doing very well for themselves in the ACC, which is struggling to stay afloat. Even with 2024, Florida State is still a household program that could hold its weight in the SEC or Big Ten.
I cannot wait to see how the Seminoles would do if they were given the chance to move conferences.
