DEFENSE WILL GIVE MULTIPLE LOOKS

Florida State hired Tony White from Nebraska to be its next defensive coordinator. The Seminoles' faithful dealt with Adam Fuller being in charge over the past five seasons. Most fans wanted him out of Tallahassee a long time ago.

While I am not one to hold pitchforks out for someone's job, I do believe that there were weaknesses in Fuller's defenses. For starters, they were not able to effectively stop the run and they could not get off the field on third downs.

One of my biggest criticisms of Fuller's defense was that he never disguised his defenses and opposing offenses knew exactly what they were running. The Seminoles never shied away from man-to-man coverage.

White met with the media after he was hired and explained that the defense was going to practice and play physically as well as create multiple looks in its 3-3-5 defensive scheme. That is music to my ears, and it should be to many Seminole fans.
