The offensive line has seen an uptick in production when assistant coach Herb Hand has been guiding the unit in Tallahassee. It has been a quick turnaround from last season's disaster.

Obviously, it is preferred that a program builds its offensive trenches from within the high school ranks, but Florida State was starting back at ground zero after the hard reset. With that said, the Seminoles do have quality pieces in the class on the offensive line, such as Da'Ron Parks, Jakobe Green, Michael Ionata, and Luke Francis.

While he is still committed to the Bruins, it could be a matter of time before Florida State aggressively comes calling. He played guard and tackle. Most notably, Smith played right tackle last season.
