RB ROYDELL WILLIAMS GETS REVENGE ON FORMER TEAM

Florida State added former Oklahoma transfer Gavin Sawchuk and former four-star prospect Ousmane Kromah to the running back position this offseason. I am not saying that Sawchuk and Kromah will not be in the rotation, but things could be unpredictable.

The Seminoles averaged 89.9 rushing yards per game last year. The coaching staff wanted to establish the running game and wanted to allow their motto to be physicality.

With that said, that notion didn't happen in 2024. It could be easier this year to accomplish that with Florida State hiring former UCF head football coach Gus Malzahn to be its offensive coordinator. You know what you will get from Coach Malzahn as the Seminoles will run the football.

Malzahn's scheme revolves around the inside run scheme. It could be a perfect opportunity for veteran back Roydell Williams to show off against his former team, Alabama. Williams isn't the flashy piece that the fan base wants to see after being injured after the fourth game and getting to redshirt.

However, I wouldn't be surprised to see Williams at the top of the depth chart as a veteran that Coach Malzahn could rely on.
