QB THOMAS CASTELLANOS

Trust me, I couldn't write this article without including former Boston College quarterback transfer Thomas Castellanos. The Seminoles unfortunately lost former five-star prospect Luke Kromenhoek to Mississippi State this offseason. It was a low blow to the program since he showed some promise last season.

However, the squad went 2-10 last year and Norvell looks to skating on thin ice with some of the fan base. Plus, the Seminoles decided to hire former UCF head football coach Gus Malzahn to be its offensive coordinator.

Malzahn is known to run the football, have run-pass options, and throw the occasional deep shot. I don't know if that is something that fits Kromenhoek's play style. However, Castellanos has been included in his offensive scheme before so he knows what is being asked of him.

The fan base has expressed concerns over the benching of Castellanos and then entering the transfer portal before the season was over. I look at it as new head football coach Bill O'Brien made him run a pro-style system that did not fit his play style.

I am not asking the dual-threat signal caller to be a Heisman Trophy finalist, but I want Castellanos to not allow the offense to go sideways and allow the opposing defenses to have to account for his arms and legs.
