LB CALEB LAVALLEE

The linebacker position has been an underwhelming group that Seminole fans wish would improve quickly. The position group had several instances where they could not come up with run support, pass off receivers in pass coverage, and did not have enough speed to cover out of the backfield.

This has been a disappointing development because the coaching staff was excited about another year of development from pieces such as Justin Cryer, Blake Nichelson, Omar Graham Jr., Elijah Herring, and Stefon Thompson.

However, the linebacker unit is just not playing well. With that said, there is always time to improve over the period, but something has to change.

The Seminoles got good news as former North Carolina linebacker transfer Caleb LaVallee is finally listed on the projected depth chart. This was a transfer that the coaching staff was excited about in the offseason, as LaVallee had nine tackles in his first career start in the bowl game against UConn.

This instinctual defender is exactly what the Seminoles need in their rotation.
