DB EARL LITTLE JR.

The Rover position could be an important one for the Seminoles' defense in 2025, which is considered a hybrid safety role. Redshirt junior defensive back Earl Little Jr. will be responsible for manning the position.

The former Alabama transfer had a difficult time getting adjusted when he arrived in Tallahassee as he started at the nickel cornerback position, but he switched to safety midway through the season when the Seminoles virtually gave up on the campaign.

Defensive coordinator Tony White set the expectations high for Little Jr. in the spring, when he referred to the defender as "Him". This was how I thought the defensive back would have performed in 2024 as the hype surrounded the former four-star prospect.

Nonetheless, it is better late than never. Earl Little Jr. admits that he is confident and brings a high level of physicality to a defense that desperately needed it last year and needs it against Alabama to start the year.

Nonetheless, I know this will be the year that Earl Little Jr. puts everything together for the NFL scouts watching from afar.
