S CONRAD HUSSEY
Florida State's safety position during the 2024 season was all over the place. The Seminoles had to replace the likes of veteran Akeem Dent, who had joined the NFL.
As a result, redshirt junior Shyheim Brown took on the role of a leader in the secondary. The fan base originally thought that it would be a battle between Conrad Hussey and Davonte Brown for the other safety spot alongside Brown.
However, it became a revolving door at the position where Hussey and Brown struggled and then the coaching staff even tried KJ Kirkland, Ashlynd Barker, and Earl Little Jr. at safety as well.
Nonetheless, I still have hope in the former four-star prospect from St. Thomas Aquinas High School. As you can see in his game, Hussey has the ability to deliver bone-crushing hits that could make opposing offensive players to go near him.
The safety played in ten games last year where he had 18 tackles. I expect Hussey to get back to his 2023 campaign form, where he was awarded FSU's Freshman Defensive Player of the Year.
