FOUR-STAR DE MALCOLM SIMPSON

Florida State has always emphasized the importance of bringing in talented prospects via the transfer portal, such as Jared Verse, Fabien Lovett Sr., and Braden Fiske.

However, the Seminoles have tried to explore options on the recruiting trail but have not been as successful as they landed Patrick Payton back in the 2021 cycle. Nonetheless, Florida State wants to get back to developing in-house for elite defensive linemen.

The Seminoles have four-star defensive tackle Kevin Wynn as well as three-star defensive ends Darryll and Mandrell Desir in the class. However, they are also working on acquiring four-star defensive end LaJesse Harrold who just de-committed from LSU.

One name that Florida State could entertain is four-star defensive end Malcolm Simpson. He is listed at 6'3" and 255 pounds and is from Hitchcock, Texas. It would be an interesting get for the Seminoles as they look to rebuild the trenches.
