DB MAX REDMON

Florida State ended with three defensive back prospects in its 2025 class: four-star Gregory "Zae" Thomas, four-star Shamar Arnoux, and three-star Max Redmon.

The fan base did not know what was going to happen with defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. as he was fielding offers from the previously vacant Southern Miss head coaching position (his alma mater). However, the position was filled, and Surtain Sr. looks to be staying on the Seminoles' staff.

Four-star Zae Thomas gets a bulk of the discussion since he is the first Seminole Heritage prospect who is on full scholarship. Plus, he is the highest-ranked of the bunch.

Honestly, three-star Max Redmon does not get a whole bunch of love from the fan base. Most individuals look at the star ranking and dig too deep into them. They are a good indicator of the potential of a prospect, but they should not be used for everything. Someone could be falling through the cracks.

Redmon is a prospect that I see moving all over the defense as a safety, nickel cornerback, and even a linebacker who comes down in the box to help in pass coverage as well as rushing the quarterback.
