Tony White Is A Trash Defensive Coordinator

Just to think, Florida State fans were loving Tony White after the defense’s performance against Alabama, and started panicking as soon as UCLA fired Deshaun Foster because they knew Tony White’s name would get thrown in the mix.

We saw give him whatever he wants posts to keep him on social media, but he’s a trash defensive coordinator now after the Virginia and Miami games.

Virginia has a good offense and an experienced quarterback, as noted in the previews, and FSU turned it over three times. Did they have a couple of bad drives in the Virginia game? Absolutely, but that’s going to happen in college football. However, the FSU offense never would have gotten back into that game had the defense not generated turnovers to create those opportunities for the offense to score.

Against Miami, they played well enough to win, despite the offense turning it over three times again. He had guys in position to make plays, guys just didn’t execute. That’s not on coaching; that’s on players not doing their jobs. There’s nothing wrong with the 3-3-5 scheme that’s multiple. The guy didn’t have back-to-back top 20 defenses by accident the past two years. The defense will be fine if the offense can stop turning it over multiple times a game.
