3 FSU football commits that could make a difference for the Seminoles in 2026

These recruits could help Florida State a lot during the 2026 season.

WR JASEN LOPEZ

Florida State's offense had the pleasure of having wide receiver Duce Robinson in their system. The former USC transfer had over 1,000 receiving yards, and he has been a security blanket for quarterback Thomas Castellanos. Robinson is likely gone after this year.

The Seminoles have had flashes with wide receivers Micahi Danzy and Lawayne McCoy that the fan base likes. However, more playmakers need to emerge in 2026, or they need to move to the transfer portal and/or recruiting rankings.

One prospect that I am excited for is four-star wide receiver Jasen Lopez from Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida. Lopez has accumulated over 1,000 yards in each of the last three years (statistics found via MaxPreps).

To make matters even better is that he is a four-star point guard prospect for basketball, and will be helping head basketball coach Luke Loucks and their program as well. As a result, it helps both teams so it is a win-win. The Seminoles could always use changing wide receivers that can play in the slot and on the outside.
