CB CHANCEY KENNON

Florida State defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has done a solid job in recruiting the position. I understand that the Seminoles have had their fair share of misses, even this year with five-star Jay Timmons flipping to Ohio State.

However, Florida State has still been consistent with their play in the secondary. They have youngsters in the position group that are talented, but guys like former four-star prospect Charles Lester III have not shown much.

The Seminoles are hoping that four-star cornerback Chauncey Kennon displays potential for them. He was a five-star prospect but the recruiting services did not think he was worthy of remaining in the elite status.

Schools like Georgia, Miami, LSU, and Florida were in on Kennon, but Florida State held on to get his services in July of this year. It will be exciting to have the 6'1" defender that can highpoint the football and play wide receiver too. This will be a fun project for Surtain Sr. to work with.
