Once again, Florida head coach Billy Napier is on the hot seat after dropping an embarrassing game against the USF Bulls.

Every year, Napier's seat seems to gain heat, yet the Gators keep him around as their head coach. However, with a struggling offensive unit, a few players who are currently committed to Napier and the Florida Gators might be looking to head to another program instead.

With Napier's job currently in trouble following the 18-16 loss to South Florida, Florida State head coach Mike Norvell should look to poach a handful of players out from under the Gators, especially those in-state targets.

Kendall Guervil is one of the in-state talents who chose the Gators over the Seminoles, Miami Hurricanes, and other Florida programs.

However, while going through his recruiting process, he received an offer from Norvell and took an official visit to Florida State. If the Seminoles could convince the four-star defensive lineman to flip his commitment in their direction, it might start a flood of prospects who consider doing the same.

Just like Guervi, four-star cornerback CJ Bronaugh committed to the Gators over the Seminoles, even after taking an official visit to Tallahassee.

Bronaugh is the NO. 15 athlete out of Florida and the No. 14 cornerback in the entire nation. Just like Guervil flipping his commitment, Bronaugh deciding not to head to Gainesville would do wonders for Florida State's recruiting efforts.

The third recruit that Norvell should target, but certainly not the last, is four-star quarterback Will Griffin, who hails from Tampa, FL. He earned offers from the Gators, Seminoles, Hurricanes, UCF Knights, and USF Bulls.

Flipping Griffin from Florida to Florida State would be just the offensive pickup that Norvell would need to unleash a wave of talented athletes in the direction of the Noles.

Currently, the Gators lay claim to the No. 13 class of 2026 recruits, with the Seminoles just a few places behind at No. 15 in the country. If Napier loses his job, it wouldn't be surprising to see many of Florida's top recruits head to other programs and a reversal of those team recruiting rankings.
