This is a gross performance by the Florida Gators.

RIVAL LOSES IN EMBARRASSING FASHION

Florida State football defeats the East Texas A&M Lions by a score of 77-3 on Saturday afternoon. It was a snooze fest in the Tallahassee sun. However, it was not a snooze fest for one of the Seminoles' rivals, Florida Gators.

The Gators were thought to have one of the toughest schedules in the country, but some college football analysts expected sophomore DJ Lagway to be one of the best quarterbacks. However, it is important not to fall into the hype of what others are saying and let the games play out.

Florida had a difficult schedule that featured Texas, Miami, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida State, and others. However, they couldn't look ahead to South Florida, which just dominated Boise State last week.

Unfortunately, head football coach Billy Napier got a harsh reminder to remember who the Bulls are as they suffered an embarrassing loss by a score of 18-16 to South Florida in the friendly confines of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

IS QB DJ LAGWAY THE ANSWER?

I get it. Florida quarterback DJ Lagway is a former five-star prospect from the 2024 recruiting cycle. However, he has not managed to stay healthy or perform up to expectations. The Florida faithful want him to elevate himself, but losing to South Florida won't do him any favors.

It looks like quarterbacks Thomas Castellanos and Carson Beck might have something to say about better signal-callers. I always enjoy watching Florida lose. This further proves my point that there are teams in the SEC that are way overvalued.

Let's hope that Coach Napier makes it through the adversity because I want Coach Norvell to play him in November to get revenge for the flag-planting fiasco. It is great to be a Florida State Seminole!
