Parting Thoughts

The coaching staff could add someone at the tight end position if Jaheim Bell enters the NFL Draft as most expect, especially with Markeston Douglas transferring to Arizona State. That still puts FSU in that 7-8 range when it comes to transfer portal additions.

However, that could change if a couple of other guys who likely won’t see the field anytime soon decide to enter the transfer portal.

FSU took 11 scholarship transfer players in the 2023 cycle compared to 14 in the 2022 recruiting cycle.

FSU finally has most of the depth pieces needed and will likely continue to take smaller amounts from the transfer portal in the coming years as long as they continue to sign top-five high school classes like 2024.

We’ll likely see some defensive addition from the portal first, with the offensive side depending on who they take at QB. Once offensive players see who that is, that’s when we’ll likely see those offensive linemen and wide receivers come into play.
