Linebacker

Much like the receiver position, FSU will lose its top two linebackers, Kalen DeLoach and Tatum Bethune. FSU does have some experience returning in DJ Lundy, and redshirt freshman Omar Graham Jr. saw a ton of snaps in 2023.

Freshmen Blake Nichelson and Justin Cryer played in all 13 games. I don’t think FSU is in as bad a shape as some people think, especially compared to a couple of years ago.

However, it’s smart for the coaching staff to take an experienced and productive linebacker from the transfer portal.

They’ve already offered Arkansas linebacker Chris Paul Jr., which is a clear sign they intend to make such a move.

Paul Jr. fits the mold they’ve used before with Tatum Bethune. He’s a productive linebacker with two years of eligibility remaining.

FSU has some other young bodies in the position like DeMarco Ward. They also have two high school players committed for the 2024 recruiting cycle.
