Ryan Fitzgerald Made FG to Increase Lead

With the Seminoles leading the Cardinals 13-6 in the fourth quarter, another successful offensive drive was needed to maintain a comfortable lead.  This drive was critical for the Noles to win the ACC Championship.  Unfortunately, Brock Glenn struggled in the red zone as he couldn’t get the Noles in the endzone.

Who have the Noles counted on all season long to increase the lead when the offense fails? None other than the clutch kicker himself, Ryan Fitzgerald.  After missing the earlier FG and making the other two, Fitzgerald made this one, putting the Noles up 16-6.

Despite the earlier miss, being 3/4 in FGs and nailing the last one at the most crucial moment was a win for Fitzgerald, given the adversity.

Fitzgerald’s improvement has been inspiring to witness this season.  When nearly everyone lost faith in him, he stepped in a major way, becoming an important piece to this FSU football team.  Everyone is hoping he sticks around for his senior season as it will benefit both his NFL Draft stock and the team as a whole.
