Parting Thoughts

One would hope a homegrown player would see the value in the time the coaching staff has put into developing.

At the same time, I can understand a player seeking to get paid the maximum possible. It’s all about what perceived value is and what’s important to the program.

At this point, the quarterback position is likely the most important to get right in regards to avoiding falling back to 7-5 or 8-4 type levels.

FSU seems to be active in that regard. FSU has already offered at least one defensive end, and that was prior to Payton entering the portal. If Payton entering the portal worries you as a fan. I offer this solace.

Mike Norvell took this program from the depths of hell and turned it into a national title contender. The Battle’s End Collective played a major part in retaining and acquiring specific players to help make that happen.

Those two entities know what they’re doing and have access to much more information than you or I. Trust the process and wish Payton well.
